The sector is worth about 90 million, while the professionals involved, including voice actors, dialogists, assistants, sound engineers, are more than 2000.

The great masters of dubbing, from Monica Ward to Iansante and Pedicini, who have marked the history of dubbing in Italy have founded important dubbing schools to teach the profession to future voice actors.


However, despite the fact that the work is increasing significantly thanks to platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, the fees are increasingly decreasing, and so is the quality.

At the same time, new generations of viewers prefer to watch the new series in original language, as they have always done in many other European countries.
