Italian Parliament

The "Transatlantico", designed by Ernesto Basile, a large room located behind the Chamber along the diameter of the hemicycle, with Sicilian marble floors and a system of lights that resemble the ones of real transatlantic ships. It is said that the real political life and the most important decisions are taken here, not inside the Chamber, during informal conversations.

A unique behind-the-scenes glimpse into the life, spaces, and inner workings of the Italian Parliament, documented exclusively for Vanity Fair magazine.
