The expansion of the Panama Canal, completed in 2016, stands as one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects of the 21st century. A reportage exploring the transformation of this vital maritime passage, showcasing the colossal new locks, the widened waterways, and the people whose lives and livelihoods are intertwined with the canal. An assignment by L’Espresso.
