Farewell to Berlusconistan

Italian tycoon and former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi died on the 12th of June at the age of 86. During the 2 following days Simone Donati went to Milan to witness the last farewell to the man that changed Italian politics forever.

Simone photographed the atmosphere in Arcore at the private residence of Silvio Berlusconi and in Piazza del Duomo where the State funeral was held, the closing of the circle of a work begun in 2009 and carried on for several years, "Welcome to Berlusconistan".

From 2009 to 2014 Simone had produced a series of images about Berlusconi's supporters, depicting an important moment of transition in the Italian political scene.
