Norway is showing a steady pace towards sustainable energy production and mobility.
The national oil company is investing billions of euros in solar and wind power, while research centres are optimising hydrogen production and fuel cell technology, in order to produce hydrogen from stranded wind. The country is now building the first hydrogen propelled ferry boat, while the largest grocery chain is starting to replace its diesel trucks’ fleet with electric and hydrogen ones.
Oslo is the 2019 European green capital, investing in urban vegetable gardens for local consumption and clean mobility, and is now the world’s largest city center without private cars.
