"Il senso dei luoghi - Il tessuto sociale e il paesaggio di Figline e Incisa Valdarno", sarà in mostra dal 29 ottobre 2022 al 15 gennaio 2023 presso Palazzo Pretorio, con inaugurazione il 29 ottobre alle 17.
Il senso dei luoghi nasce da un invito del Comune di Figline e Incisa Valdarno (FI) per una campagna fotografica sul territorio, dopo quelle realizzate da Paolo Monti (1980) e Gianni Berengo Gardin (2011). Il lavoro è stato realizzato tra ottobre 2021 e agosto 2022, un tempo lungo che ci ha permesso di approfondire il rapporto con il tessuto sociale della comunità e quello naturale e urbano del territorio, dando voce ad un dialogo tra l’elemento umano e quello paesaggistico.

Tornare nei luoghi, ricercare l'alternarsi della luce, chiedere ai soggetti di posare, sono tutte soluzioni stilistiche che ci hanno permesso di avvicinarci all'essenza della comunità e del luogo.

La mostra Il senso dei luoghi racconta, attraverso più di 50 fotografie, quattro grandi aree tematiche: i giovani e la scuola, il lavoro, la cultura e il tempo libero, la spiritualità, raccontando la normalità del quotidiano, tessendo un mosaico che vuole restituire innanzitutto a coloro che queste terre abitano e custodiscono, l’immagine di un luogo che ha ispirato e guidato i nostri sguardi attraverso il susseguirsi del tempo e delle stagioni.

La mostra ed il catalogo includono testi di Vanni Santoni e Giovanna Calvenzi. 

"The sense of places", will be on show from October 29th 2022 to January 15th 2023 at Palazzo Pretorio in Figline e Incisa Valdarno (FI).

The project is an invitation from the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno for a photographic campaign in the area, after those made by Paolo Monti (1980) and Gianni Berengo Gardin (2011).

The work was carried out between October 2021 and August 2022, a time that allowed us to deepen the relationship with the social fabric of the community and the natural and urban one of the territory, giving voice to a dialogue between the human element and the landscape.

Returning to places, seeking the alternation of light, asking subjects to pose, are all stylistic solutions that have allowed us to get closer to the essence of the community and the landscape.

The exhibition "The sense of places" includes more than 50 photographs focussed around four main thematic areas: youth and education, work, culture and pastime, spirituality. Telling the normality of everyday life, we weave a mosaic that wants to give back to those who inhabit and guard these lands, the image of a place that has inspired and guided our eyes through the succession of time and seasons.

The exhibition and the catalog include texts by Vanni Santoni and Giovanna Calvenzi.
